In detail
The ADELMANN® IB1 is a magnetic car phone mount with a vacuum suction cup. It holds on the dashboard, the display or the windscreen without drilling, and on smooth surfaces without glue: place the suction cup, turn the ring to TIGHT, done. An adhesive pad is included for heavily textured dashboards. The air vents stay free, and the suction cup comes off without leaving residue – so the mount moves easily to a second car, a van or a motorhome.
The mount is compatible with MagSafe: iPhone 12 to iPhone 18 dock directly. iPhones without a built-in magnet (such as the iPhone SE or 16e), Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and all other smartphones hold with one of the two included metal rings. The magnets hold with 20 N, and the joint rotates 360° and tilts 180° – for navigation in portrait or landscape. Folded, the mount is just 40 mm flat and weighs 93.5 g.

When will my order arrive?
We ship from a warehouse in Germany. Within Germany the mount usually arrives in 2–5 working days; in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Italy and Spain within 7 working days. Shipping is free and you receive tracking by e-mail.
How can I pay?
With one click via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay or Link – or via “Buy now” with credit card (Visa, Mastercard) or Klarna. Payment is encrypted and processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
Can I return the mount?
Yes. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt of the goods – the easiest way is withdraw from contract. We refund the full purchase price; you bear the return shipping costs. Details in the withdrawal policy (German).
Does the mount also work with Samsung, Google Pixel and other phones without a magnet?
Yes. Two self-adhesive metal rings are included; they fit any smartphone or case. With an iPhone 12 or later or a magnetic case you don't need the rings.
Will the magnet harm my smartphone?
No. Modern smartphones use flash memory, which is not affected by magnetic fields. Keep the magnet away from pacemakers, debit and credit cards and magnetic storage media, though.
Does the suction cup hold on textured surfaces?
The suction cup with clamping ring holds on smooth and lightly textured surfaces. For heavily grained dashboards an adhesive pad is included that gives the suction cup a smooth surface. To remove: turn the ring to OPEN and pull the tab – no residue.
Can I mount it on the windscreen?
Yes, as long as it doesn't block your view and isn't in the deployment zone of an airbag – ideally at the bottom edge of the windscreen or on the dashboard. In Germany you may not hold your phone while driving (§ 23 StVO); in a mount, operating it by voice control or with a brief glance is allowed. Other countries have their own rules.
Does it work with a phone case?
Yes. With a case that is compatible with MagSafe, the iPhone attaches directly. With a regular case, stick one of the included metal rings onto the outside of the case.
Can I charge my phone wirelessly in the mount?
No, the IB1 is purely magnetic and has no charging function. To charge while driving, simply use a cable.
Does the phone stay put on bumpy roads?
Yes. The magnets hold with 20 N – many times the weight of a large smartphone. The zinc alloy ball and tilt joints keep their position even on cobblestones.

- Strong magnets: keep at least 10 cm away from pacemakers, defibrillators and other medical implants. Keep away from debit and credit cards, key cards and magnetic storage media.
- Do not mount within the deployment area of airbags or where it obstructs your view. Do not operate the smartphone while driving.
- Check that it is secure before every journey (ring on TIGHT). Adhesion may decrease in great heat or cold.
- Not suitable for children under 3: contains small parts that can be swallowed (metal rings). Not a toy.
